Russia having illegally usurped the name of Rus, posed itself as most ancient living slavic nation, therefore considers itself as elder brother, which is reflected in megalomania and strong desire to conquer other nations.

How bitter (compared to baltics) are ex-ussr slavic countries about commie times, and how it + russia affected to their culture?
And how much it would piss you off if some western tourist says "spasiba" as thanks (assuming spasiba is not also world in your language)?

In Lviv most people think that commie time was actually the red occupation of Ukraine. On the East there are some people with commie times nostalgia especially the aged folks, however they are very far from being the majority.

> And how much it would piss you off if some western tourist says "spasiba" as thanks (assuming spasiba is not also world in your language)?
In such cases I just say, that "spasiba" is a foreign word for me, for Ukrainians and tell him or her that in our language it's "diakuyu". For example, I was on the party with Estonians and one guy from Georgia few weeks ago. We spoke in English and I did exactly like this.

Russians are not slavs scum.
Russians are Finno-Ugric people, genetically very close to the Finnish people. However, the Russian language is Slavic, unfortunately. And do not think that Ukrainians are Slavs. From the eastern "Slavs" Slavs are only Belarusians. Russians are Eastern Finns, and Ukrainians are the Turkic Asiatic people. This is indicated by a huge number of Turkic words in the language and place names.

— https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/polish-english/torba

https://forvo.com/word/borç/
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Azerbaijani_language#Writing_systems

If we are talking about the countries that have border or borders with Russia (except China): all depends on relation of this country to russian interests in the region. If you ready for unequal integration with Russia - you will be able to have media and public support from russian government and parliament (russian call them "BARIN" and "HOZIAIN",which means "my owner".).
In other case you will be deleted from "slav friends" list and will be promoted among russians like "traitors of slavs` world" and you will find "humiliated russian minority" in your county, however you speak russian during all your life. That is all for now.

Every country has its own historical science and model of perception of ussr times. It always correlates with political ambient of the county (When you want to get the authority - you can promote ideas of soviet times and blame liberals with all your problems, get the office and silently fuck your country`s population while saying "It all the blame of liberals! They intend to destroy our country!"

Nobody will rage or hate you lol. But i suppose that russians in some scum places in Russia like Ryazan and Tambov will fucking explode after saying "Dzyakuyu" (Thank you in ukrainian and polish).

I think it's a good thing we are mixed with Turks. Elements of nomadic Turkish culture gave us all possibilities to survive in the wild steppe.
Also, we are more handsome than Ugro-Finnish uglies Russians. But that's another story.

Are you sick? If authorities promote Soviet shit in Ukraine they would suck dick of Majdan-2.

No open rage cause we are tolerant. But it's not the thing that pleases Ukrainians. I would teach such foreigner a Ukranian word.
